0:42: Mike and Alice discuss the spectacularly successful 83rd Scientific Sessions of the ADA, which occurred June 23 to 26 in San Diego, CA. The co-hosts discuss the “incredible,” “exciting,” and “terrific” sessions, lectures, and study results presentations. Alice relates her joy in making new connections and renewing old ones, and Mike notes that the high in-person attendance infused the whole event with a dynamic, collaborative energy. He also highlights the timeliness and importance of the symposium on diabetes and social determinants of health (SDOH) that was featured at the Scientific Sessions. Alice and Mike plan to do a special podcast on the SDOH symposium in the near future.
