Cat has worked at several dance studios. She has presented her craft at several events. Cat tells you her story on how she started focusing a lot on mental health within dance. She is a unique artist in so many ways. You will find so much inspiration in this episode!
Question Highlights:

About Cat:
Cat Cogliandro is a dancer and choreographer who got her BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase and moved to the city after she graduated. She got a job working at the BDC store and worked her way up where she presently teaches at BDC and Peridance. Cat was living in LA for the last 4 or 5 years and was teaching at Movement Lifestyle, Millennium, IMMAspace and Edge Dance Studio. She is not currently signed due to taking some time to be on her own to search for what she truly values and wanted to accomplish in her career but is now beginning to manifest and work towards finding an agent again.
Cat’s mission and purpose in this life is to help people and she truly believes Dance is the greatest connection to do so. She believes in the power of self-love and breaking the stigmas of mental illness.. She is very passionate about mental health, the younger generation (ie: age appropriate dance, positive training, etc), and being open and honest about things in dance such as abuse, misconduct, etc. Cat isn’t afraid to say what she believes in and is working her hardest to be a good person instead of just a good dancer.
Cat’s also been known for her mouth but as she shed layers of her ego, She is trying to discover how to communicate with kindness and lead by example rather than preach. Trying to evolve from the inside out and hoping to inspire others to do the same, her classes are very heavily based on self-love. She gets deep.
