Daily Witnessing Tips from Witness Radio

Christianity came from Judaism, so do we worship the same God?

While Christianity got its start in Judaism, the god of Judaism is false, because they’ve failed to believe that Jesus is the Messiah. The Bible says “No one who denies the Son has the Father,” so even though they profess to worship Adonai, it’s not acceptable to God because of their rejection of His Son.
Now, when witnessing to the Jewish people, direct them to Old Testament Scriptures that are Messianic prophecies. For example, Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22 are passages about Jesus’ death and payment for sin. Isaiah 7:14 and Micah 5:2 give details about the Messiah’s birth.

One last thing to remember is that all of our witnessing encounters must be done with gentleness and respect because our actions can speak louder than our words.

Galatians 1:10

Do you worry about what others think of you?

One of my favorite Bible verses is Galatians 1:10 because it’s a great reminder to keep my mind focused on serving Christ. It says, “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (ESV)
Many of us can get caught up with feeling a need for approval, but when we do things to garner acceptance from humans, our heart isn’t in the right place and we can succumb to the sin of pride.

Whenever you do something while expecting to receive praise from others, put yourself in check by reading Galatians 1:10. We must seek the approval of God, not man, and serve only Him.

How can you use Instagram to share the gospel?

Instagram is a mobile app for taking photos and videos and then sharing them with others via social media. If you want to share the Gospel on Instagram, try posting a picture of the back of a Gospel tract or recording a video testimonial.
One way that I’ve witnessed on this platform is through Instagram Stories, which is kind of like a video journal that you update throughout the day. You can plan to share little snippets of a complete Gospel message at regular intervals and in different locations.
Some other tips would be to use trending hashtags in your Gospel-themed posts and to leave comments that share the Gospel on the posts of other people... but please, don’t be spammy!
Visit Witness Radio on Instagram to see these tips in action and to share your own ideas for witnessing on this platform.
