The F1 British Grand Prix 2023 Review

On this week's Cut to the Race, Oli is joined by the full panel of Abby, James M and Sam to dissect the British Grand Prix, which saw Sam enter the F1 paddock.

The panel discuss the action that was Qualifying, which saw Max Verstappen "ruin everything" in Lando Norris' words. They also touch on the shock exit in Q1 as well as the red flag, which saw Verstappen destroy part of his car. Afterwards, the quartet give their world-famous National Anthem reviews before diving into the action of the British Grand Prix.

The four panellists discuss the amazing opening laps of the race that caused major cheers at the circuit as Lando Norris took the lead at his home race whilst Oscar Piastri proved the McLaren upgrades were working. They then move on to the unfortunate events of Ferrari's race as both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz had underwhelming performances with mixed strategy calls that didn't work in the team's favour.

Oli and the panel continue dissecting moving onto Mercedes' performance and whether Lewis Hamilton was just 'lucky' under the Safety Car before they chat about the battle between Lance Stroll and Pierre Gasly that resulted in a five-second penalty for Stroll.

After their review, the panel go through the standings and a hint of what they expect to happen at Hungary in a couple of weeks.
