Professor Connor Gearty and Professor Roger Masterman spoke about reform of the Human Rights Act 1998 on Friday 26 February 2016 at the Mill Lane Lecture Rooms, as guests on the regular CULS speaker programme.
Professor Gearty is a former Cambridge PhD student currently at the London School of Economics, where he holds the positions Professor of Human Rights Law and Director of the Institute of Public Affairs. He has a particular interest in the area of human rights, with extensive experience both of practising and researching in the area. Professor Masterman is a graduate of King’s College London who is currently Head of School in Durham’s Law School. His research interest also lies in the area of human rights and the HRA.
