Since transitioning from the Army in 2014 she has served as president of the Student Veterans of America club at St. Bonaventure University (SBU). Organized the first-ever student-led fundraiser at SBU, raising more than $12,000 to send student veterans to an Italian wellness retreat each summer - cost-free.She's an expert on navigating both the G.I. Bill and VA Vocational Rehabilitation programs, as well as the VA Disability Claims and the VA home loan process. Janine Stange, the FIRST person to sing the National Anthem in all 50 US States joins the show to talk about her journey and mission to sing the National Anthem all across the country.
Janine is a passionate singer, and is also a dedicated veteran advocate who pioneers numerous causes across the country to thank the men and women who serve, and who have served. One of her most popular drives is the custom cards and letters that she collects and sends to veterans all around the country, especially in March for Medal of Honor day.
She's also an accomplished speaker, and spends a lot of her time on the road. She carved out a little time over the Christmas holiday to chat with me, and I was incredibly impressed!
