Medical's Failures and Nuke School Roommates

Duty Days are sad and long days in the military, but we make do through camaraderie. As we hold down the ship, Matt joins Ohio (introduced last episode) and I to pass the time.
We start with tales of Navy Medical, highlighting the failures and issues with the system through some humorous stories and experiences. This leads us into injuries, which gets us sidetracked into the world of amusement parks and rock climbing.
Eventually, we make our way back to the Navy, getting into stories from boot camp, A-School, Power School, and Prototype, sharing the interesting experiences we had due to the strange and unique people we got to meet. Or, were forced to live with.

Podcasting with sailors, especially of the nuke variety, is difficult, but trapped on the ship for 24 hours with me leaves them no choice.
Join guest nuke nicknamed Ohio as he and I recall the distant days of Boot Camp and A-School. He starts by telling us about the wonders of his home-state, which was deemed- almost randomly- to be a meme.
I share a story about the frustrations of dating a civilian, emphasizing some of the issues that arise due to our different lifestyles. Specifically, I highlight the differences between work ethic, time management, and our values.
Ohio gets into tales of horror about his strange roommate, who tried to sabotage his life. As a result, we get into a conversation about the downsides of military barracks and being forced to live with the people you see at work all day. Not to mention, other nukes who were... gross.
We transition from there into the funny and unique experiences of boot camp, where- mainly just graduated high schoolers- do stupid things. Whipping people in the showers, crapping anywhere but in the toilets, wrestling each other, and a whole slew of trouble.

Then, we get into watchstanding discussing the reality of military service and the unexpected responsibilities that we have. (Thanks to our recruiter lying to us- or rather, merely withholding information from us.) We further the discussion with our preset expectations from our recruiter and the propaganda in our country in comparison to how the job is going, and what we'd like to see changed.
Then, we're joined by a mag-rat nicknamed Playboy, who loves himself, alcohol, leading on women, pickup trucks, and going to mast. He shares about fighting in college to enter a frat, where to get drunk and party, and more.
