I was familiar with Callista Gingrich because I interviewed her husband Newt Gingrich, when his book "Victory At Yorktown" was released.

In this conversation, we talked about the 4th in Callista's Ellis The Elephant series. There is "Sweet Land of Liberty", "Land Of The Pilgrims Pride" , "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and her just released "From Sea To Shining Sea".

I can't tell you how much I loved this book. It's reading level is an N, indicating K through 3rd grade. But as Callista shared in the interview, her mother believes it should be K through 80! I agree. Each child living in America should be given the opportunity to read this book. The illustrations, the writing (in poem and verse form), the stories so vivid and colorful, it is all so well done. Our American history comes alive in the Ellis The Elephant series! This would make THE best gift to a school or even a just because gift for someone special. Loved it, and her.
