This week, our episode is a conversation with the wonderful heathen author and seer Patricia Lafayllve. Within the excellent heathen organization, The Troth, she is an Elder, as well as High Steward. She has performed rituals throughout the US, and is a natural Seer and trained seidr-worker, and in our conversation together, we discussed the essential skills needed to practice trance-based divination, the importance of respect and grounded research in our personal worship, and her two excellent books: A Practical Heathen's Guide to Asatru and Freyja, Lady, Vanadis: An Introduction to the Goddess.

Coffee & Divination
09/30/21 • 74 min
On this episode of Coffee & Divination, we welcome author and magician Ivy Bromius, to talk about her most recent release, the Cancer Grimoire. This work, offered for free on her website, was written after her recent experience with breast cancer. She is thankfully now cancer-free, and has written the Cancer Grimoire to hopefully help others who are going through health crises, as well as to open up important conversations around magic, wellness, and healthcare in our culture.
Please note that we discuss some intense subjects during this episode, and, as neither Ivy nor myself are doctors, our conversation does not constitute medical advice.

Episode #48: John Michael Greer on John Gilbert, the Doors of Tarot, and Mundane Astrology
Coffee & Divination
01/09/25 • 83 min
In this latest episode, it was wonderful to welcome back John Michael Greer, a prolific author, teacher, and practitioner of the esoteric arts. We dive into the fascinating world of tarot and explore his work with his late teacher, John Gilbert, whose insights and teachings JMG edited and published in The Doors of Tarot. He shares reflections on Gilbert’s unique approach to tarot, and we discuss our views of patterns and spreads in readings, how divination can be best approached when just starting out, and what made Gilbert's teachings so unique and impactful. I really enjoyed the conversation, and reading The Doors of Tarot, which I absolutely recommend.
Later in the episode, we also shift gears to discuss the fundamentals of mundane astrology—using the stars to explore the patterns of global events. A particularly interesting topic as we start the new year!

In this episode of Coffee and Divination, I had the pleasure of sitting down with author, tarot reader, and witch Madame Pamita to explore the magic of tarot and how it can transform our lives. We discuss her wonderful book, Magical Tarot, which guides readers to use tarot as a tool for personal empowerment and magical growth. (I've already recommended the book to a number of friends and family interested in Tarot.) She shares her insights on developing divination skills, both personally and professionally, and provides thoughtful advice on how to use tarot and magic to create a more joyful, abundant life.
This was a wonderful conversation, and although the release has been delayed due to technical issues, I'm very glad to be able to share it now! I hope you enjoy listening.
Also, a quick announcement: My co-High Priestess of the North Wyldewood Coven, Denise Cruci, and I will be presenting at the Sacred Space Conference in March 2025. In the notes below, you can find full details and sign up to attend via their website.

About the podcast: Divination is the art of obtaining knowledge through hidden means, and has been a part of civilizations around the world - likely for tens of thousands of years. Divination can help us understand situations, answer questions (mundane or spiritual!) and give us insight on the threads that weave our lives together. While our world undergoes this time of upheaval, studying and practicing the arts of divination can help us navigate and plan for the roads ahead.
Each month, host JoAnna Farrer (Assistant HPS of the North Wyldewood Coven, in the Temple of the Spiral Path) will interview a different expert on divination, ranging from Geomancy, Tarot, Astrology, Oracles, Runes, and more, and we want you to be a part of the show! All podcast interviews will take place LIVE on Zoom, so you can listen in, and submit questions for our guest experts.
