This episode is a bit of a mixed bag for us. On the one hand, the steps that the SBC has been taking to try to repair themselves is encouraging. However, it also feels like it isn't going far enough, fast enough. We all have to make up our own minds on that one. We just hope that this slow pace doesn't come to a stop. The women of Jesus' church deserve the best from their beloved churches. The work the SBC is now undertaking will require a lot of encouragement even from outside the denomination.

They also discuss an article which encourages people not to give up on their marriage just because their spouse cheated on them. While reconciliation is always a good path if you have the capacity to go down it, it is not Biblically legitimate to call this the "best" option when your spouse betrays you.

This episode we talk about the weirdness that is the Cristian Reformed Church's decision to codify their opposition to the LGBT community in their faith confession. This is absurd for many reasons, but such is the world we live in. This promises to divide the CRC along these lines, and this is after a past schism or this same issue which split the Reformed Church. It seems like with the conversation still happening in the greater Church, this is someone trying to take their ball and go home.
