It's no doubt school closures have affected children's academics, but many children isolated at home are being impacted in negative ways. Children living in poverty are vulnerable to hunger and child abuse during school closures. Lawmakers and organizations/agencies need to get organized and provide services and support for families in need. Children's safety is at risk.
