A non-emergency call came in to Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office at approximately 2.55 am on March 14, 2007. A male caller stated that someone had broken into his home and shot his parents and he thought his parents were dead. The caller informed the employee at Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office that he had shot the intruder, but he thought the intruder may still be alive. The operator contacted the Verity Police
