In the late 80s and early 90s, Dr. Jack Kevorkian shocked the medical community and the world by creating and utilizing a death machine to help Americans commit suicide. By the time Kevorkian's career ended abruptly, it is estimated that he had assisted in upwards of 110 suicides. Although Kevorkian claimed all of his "patients" were terminally ill, it is debated whether this was actually the case. Did he really wish to help end people's suffering, or was something more sinister at play?
