Self-love is about accepting all of us - even the parts of ourselves that we don’t always like: It’s about treating ourselves with kindness and respect even when things are not going well.
This doesn’t mean that you have to always feel good about yourself. It can mean that when you are feeling down, angry, or disappointed, that the home base to which you return is a place of love and support.
