S17 Ep169: The Interview: Claire Boyce ~ The Magic of Mantises!

Byte Sized Blessings
We get insecty this week... (is that a word? It should be!) and talk praying mantises and Claire's relationship, since she was knee high to a grasshopper, with these beautiful insects!
Claire is an artist on so many fronts-poet, musician, writer, painter...what doesn't this glorious human do? Oh, and she also does karaoke...and I promised you a link so here it is! Our conversation ranges from the sacred task of bringing joy to others to getting down with spirit animals (and insects) and the happiness of having your very own mantis to name! I checked out several praying mantis facebook pages and let me tell you, these little graceful creatures have multiple pages with tens of thousands of people who are IN LOVE WITH THEM! Scrolling through the messages you really get a sense of how this insect is beloved by so many!
There is no byte-sized this week because this episode is already petite...so you must listen to the whole thing!
And, we've reached 30,000 DOWNLOADS people! EXCITING! thanks to all of you who listen and support the pod...so grateful for each and every one of you!
Here is your bit of beauty for this mid-week episode...in keeping with our theme of the praying mantis...a bit of mantis beauty for you! And a gorgeous strawberry or two as well! Take some time to learn about these little nuggets...all the myth and story around them is fascinating! But that's what we humans do, right? Create story and folktales to explain the world...and how it works, a bit better!
See you on the weekend for another episode of the pod!

S17 Ep168: The Interview: Danielle LaSusa ~ Magic Portals Where You Least Expect Them!

Hi everyone and welcome back to your weekly dose of magic! This week, my guest Danielle LaSusa tells a tale of what happened after the birth of her baby, and how she experienced the liminal space that was left open after her baby was born.
A Ted Talk speaker, self-described Practical Philosopher and writer and in general magical human being, Danielle has witnessed more than most of us will in our lifetimes and is here to talk about it! You can find her writings in "The New York Times" as well as "Life Coach Magazine" and find her website here! She has a "Mother Den" community to help support mothers as well as a book on the way-so to say that she's busy doesn't even begin to express what her life looks like! But luckily for me she made time in her schedule to talk about miracles and magic and her mysterious experience.
Thanks to everyone who listens and please remember-SHARING IS CARING...please share the podcast with those you love, those you like and those you don't know yet! AND REMEMBER TO RATE AND REVIEW!
This episode's bit of beauty is a print from one of my favorite mystics, William Blake! He was an eccentric and odd man and he and his wife were known for their nude sunbathing (quite scandalous in his day!). I love people who live life boldly and truthfully and don't care what other people think! This image, "Jacob's Ladder" is exquisite and imagines what Heaven, Earth and Angels and the journey we take after death...or the journey that the Angels take when they can't find an Uber! A mystic's view of the Heavens...which makes this reality even more beautiful!
See you next week for another episode of the podcast-and until then? Treat yourself well and witness something beautiful each and every day!

S17 Ep170: The Byte: Paul Zolman ~ The Miracle in the Vision

This week my guest Paul and I talk about what our parents can teach us even after they die-and the story Paul tells this week about his father is so powerful and moving that it took my breath away! Suffice it to say that Paul was witness to something that changed his life-and perhaps was a last message from his father telling Paul that there was a better way to live!
BUT! Paul has come up with something so beautiful and so magical I loved hearing about it! I don't want to spoil it, but if you are at all interested in Paul's simple yet elegant creation (which could probably make all our lives better!!) click here to check out his website! A unique and life-changing concept doesn't come around all the time, so be sure to keep it in mind when buying gifts for everyone you love (hint: that's one of the love languages we talk about this week!)
Your bit of beauty this week-obviously one of my love languages is GIFTS-and that's what I look at this sharing of beauty as-my way to remind each of you that the world is a very good place. It's from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute and when you watch it you have to ask yourself...is this the love language in the very deepest oceans? Here it is to check it out! Personally I would love to have the ability to biofluoresce simply because I would have to do less talking. Am I mad? Well, just look at the red line of light shooting out of my face! (hint: yes, I'm mad!)
I hope you enjoy this episode and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LISTENING MY FRIENDS!
