This week our guest is Irish Gothic Horror Author Tracy Fahey! Hooray!
And BEWARE dear listeners-in this episode you will hear:
how Tracy's ancestry practically screams for her to be an uncanny author...
how living on/near a graveyard is maybe not the best idea...
how ancient ways and ancient gods still roam the lands of Eire...
how footsteps on ceilings and rooftops can become humdrum...
how the Era of the Hag is upon us...that great Goddess of Land and Water and pretty much everything? She's here to stir things up and bitch slap us for all the ways we are destroying this world and eachother.
Whew.
We sure did talk a lot about so many ideas near and dear to my heart...but really, as long as I know there are no monsters under my bed, or demonic dolls in my closet? I'm good.
To check Tracy out and read one of her delicious tales click here.
To say that I couldn't stop thinking about the short story I found on her website would be an understatement and to whoever bought the option for it? BRAVO I SAY!! BRAVO! You clearly have good taste! (or demented taste, but who's judging? Certainly not me!)
Thanks for listening you all and I'll see you next week for another sweet or terrifying or inspirational or magical episode! Cause at this podcast? We're full service! And with that I'll see you around!

Welcome to another mid-week miracle episode love nuggets!! Please meet my guest this time, Rebeccah Silence, who is an award-winning author, coach, and media personality as well as mother and resilient and triumphant survivor! In this episode you'll hear how she overcame a childhood fraught with abuse and sorrow, and traveled a road to healing and beauty. There are so many gifts in this episode and in the stories that she tells...but suffice it to say that for me, the discovery and timing, let along HOW it was discovered...around her cancer diagnosis was absolutely gobsmacking! She is light, bright and full of wisdom, and has a fierce sense of humor to boot!
To read more about this wonderful human, click here...and to buy her book, COMING BACK TO LIFE, click here!
PLEASE REMEMBER TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE POD TO HEAR MORE SOUL-HEALING CONTENT...AND RATE AND REVIEW....IT HELPS OTHER LISTENERS FIND US!
Your bit of beauty this time is Edmonia Lewis, an African American & Native American sculptor and her piece "The Death of Cleopatra." I recently listented to "Sidedoor" a Smithsonian podcast and the episode detailed Lewis' life, fame and subsequent slide into being forgotten. A powerful and redemptive story of what we humans create in this world and then leave behind (only to be discovered later in an abandoned space), her story resonated deeply with me this week. What are we creating every day, and how will the future find our works? I'll leave you with that thought and cheers to the rest of your week!

Catherine has a few tales to tell...and why shouldn't she? She's a multi-facted and dynamic human who has: appeared on TV, is a Certified Transformational Coach and has created The Art of Self Craftmanship as well as the Sunshine Quotient! Check out both here! But it is our conversation around Catherine almost working herself to death that is the key here...as well as our talk around what we have in our refrigerators that should catch your attention! What we have in our fridges just might keep us from working ourselves to death-or at least keep us healthy enough to keep us out of the hospital...
Yes, I know! Our refrigerators! Who knew that what is in them and what we choose to feed ourselves with could be so polarizing? Food is medicine Hippocrates said, and our bodies need nourishment...and you're not going to get that eating fast food every day! So how do we nourish our bodies? And thus our souls? Well, for me it's lots of rest, lots of laughter and lots and lots of dear friendships...oh, yeah, and lots of greens and other yummy vegetables! But I'm a nerd like that!
Catherine has a joyful Instagram, so check that out here! But she's just a joyful human in general...and you'll understand that when you listen to the episode!
Your bit of beauty this week ~ Giuseppe Arcimboldo is FAMOUS for his paintings of human beings looking like food. I urge you to check out his work here- it is subversive, disturbing, and in the end, gorgeous! So that's the bit of beauty this week, people who look like a salad bar!
PLEASE SHARE THE PODCAST! And remember, subscribe, rate and review...every little bit helps so very much!
see you tomorrow for another episode of the pod!

We get insecty this week... (is that a word? It should be!) and talk praying mantises and Claire's relationship, since she was knee high to a grasshopper, with these beautiful insects!
Claire is an artist on so many fronts-poet, musician, writer, painter...what doesn't this glorious human do? Oh, and she also does karaoke...and I promised you a link so here it is! Our conversation ranges from the sacred task of bringing joy to others to getting down with spirit animals (and insects) and the happiness of having your very own mantis to name! I checked out several praying mantis facebook pages and let me tell you, these little graceful creatures have multiple pages with tens of thousands of people who are IN LOVE WITH THEM! Scrolling through the messages you really get a sense of how this insect is beloved by so many!
There is no byte-sized this week because this episode is already petite...so you must listen to the whole thing!
And, we've reached 30,000 DOWNLOADS people! EXCITING! thanks to all of you who listen and support the pod...so grateful for each and every one of you!
Here is your bit of beauty for this mid-week episode...in keeping with our theme of the praying mantis...a bit of mantis beauty for you! And a gorgeous strawberry or two as well! Take some time to learn about these little nuggets...all the myth and story around them is fascinating! But that's what we humans do, right? Create story and folktales to explain the world...and how it works, a bit better!
See you on the weekend for another episode of the pod!

This week I interview Micayla, who herself has a very fine podcast called PhilosoSHE! Be sure to check it out when you have a moment...BUT, back to Micayla! She is an artist, podcaster, photographer, song writer as well as recovering "cult" member. And she is still unpacking just how this religious group influenced and shaped her, and still does, in some ways... The thing to know about Micayla though, is, she has the biggest and most open heart you could ever imagine! So while she continues to wrestle with her upbringing and the world of her childhood she faces life wholeheartedly-and with incredible bravery, curiosity and generosity of spirit! (You're going to love meeting her, I promise you!!)
She tells two stories of miracles as far as I'm concerned this week-one, what happened when she traveled to France to do some mission work...oh, France, how you do get inside people's skins and change them forever you naughty minx! And two, she talks about collective effervescence, which is NOT a band name, but a collective experience we should all have more often!!
Head on over to my YouTube channel for the "movie" version of our convo! You can see what her fabulous face looks like! AND, please do consider sponsoring me on Patreon! This little labor of love does cost money, and any sort of support from you would be so appreciated! I LOVE ALL OF YOU THAT DO SUPPORT ME ALREADY BABIES!! Click here to support me on Patreon!
I am ever so grateful for each and every one of you and the love that you bring to the show!!
Here is your bit of beauty this week-a glimpse of French countryside...and a village that I traveled through as I walked the Camino de Santiago. First, here is the Wiki! Second: here is the beauty! You won't regret discovering a little bit more about this delightful and historic village!

This weeks episode is a doozy and begs the question-just what happens when we dream? Or what's really happening in that liminal space between dreaming and being awake?
And dreaming doesn't seem to be limited to the human experience. I know we've all seen dogs running in their sleep and cats whimpering while seemingly dreaming. So all this begs the question...if dreaming isn't exclusive to humans, just what purpose does it serve? And don't get me started on that video of the octopus dreaming...it's astonishing and can be watched here! I am a huge fan of octopi and suspect that like much of the animal and plant kingdom, they too are wondering when humans are going to get their crap together and stop polluting the oceans. It seems that all living beings are dreaming...perhaps of better days to come?
Elizabeth Corpion tells a story this week that is by turns haunting and provocative. And I don't want to ruin it for you but it should make you wonder...about what exactly is happening when we descend into sleep every single night. Just this morning I dreamed about describing someone as being "like the color caramel" in a dream...and I woke up and thought, "hmmm, caramel COULD be a color..." and it could, couldn't it?
Michel de Montaigne said "Those who have compared our life to a dream were right... we were sleeping wake, and waking sleep." And how magical is that? If every moment is a dream, then do we really want to wake up? I know I really don't.
Please remember to rate and review...and share the pod. Grateful to all of you who listen...and see you so very soon for the very next episode!

Erica has some stories to tell this week-and not all of them are about everyone's favorite food, that delicious, gooey, satisfyingly salty and doughy dinner known as pizza!
A descendent of Italian immigrants, Erica carries the strength and determination of her forbears. She tells stories of family, community and the power of never giving up-resulting in beauty, belonging and how her family changed the fabric of a town simply by showing up and being themselves! Sometimes food does bring people together! And I'll let Erica tell you the story of the Mafia-she will do it much better than I could ever do!
