More about Moebius Syndrome:

Moebius Syndrome is an extremely rare neurological disorder which is present at birth. The exact incidence is unknown. It is characterised by weakening or paralysis of the muscles in the face which control expression and lateral eye movements. People born with Moebius syndrome are unable to smile or frown, blink their eyes, or suck, although sometimes only one side is affected. Other physical problems are sometimes present in people with Moebius syndrome, such as clubfoot; mouth, tongue and jaw deformities; and respiratory illnesses. Although Moebius syndrome is sometimes associated with intellectual disabilities such as autism, and development delays, it mainly affects children of normal intelligence and cognitive development. The disorder is named after the German physician Paul Julius Möbius who described the condition in 1888. More recently it has been referred to as Moebius sequence, a more accurate description of this kind of disorder, where a single embryological event leads to a chain of developmental defects. Busy House, Happy Home - Raising Adventurous Eaters with Dan Hayes, the London Chef
play

05/18/22 • 41 min

Wondering how to encourage your children to enjoy cooking and enjoying delicious food? Join Charlie and Dan as they chat through their mutual love of cooking, great dishes, and being practical yet having fun whilst doing it!

About Dan:

Dan Hayes is the London Chef, a classically trained French chef who’s most comfortable creating Mediterranean-inspired dishes. For the past decade, he’s taught his philosophy on great food in Victoria, BC, and has been seen on APTN as the co-host of Moosemeat and Marmalade, a show bringing two very different chefs together to explore culture, culinary traditions and great food.

Dan’s approach in the cooking school focuses on educating his students on how to really cook, not just follow a recipe. His goal is to encourage a better understanding of using great ingredients and the methods around cooking, so you’ll enjoy being in the kitchen as much as he does!
