Business Class - Financial Abundance - a roadmap
play

FINANCIAL ABUNDANCE – A ROAD MAP

If New York is a state of mind, the same can be said for nearly everything in life. Sinatra reminds us if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

When it comes to Financial Abundance, the same can be true. It starts with a state of mind, and it might end with leaving a legacy.

We all desire to be truly free. Free to do more of what we love, free to choose what to do, when to do it, and who to share it with.

We want to be free to choose our passions, our projects, our investments, our charities, our generosity, and our peace of mind.

How we talk to ourselves about money matters. Have you every found yourself saying:

  • You don’t have enough money.
  • You’ll never be able to afford that.
  • Desiring money is bad or greedy
  • You’re not good with money.
  • The more you give away the less you have for yourself.
  • The only way to earn money is through hard work and sacrifice.

These thoughts are based on lack and scarcity. Try replacing these internal dialogues with thoughts of abundance, ease, and generosity. Let’s to a swap:

  • The money I have is enough and I get to earn and spend accordingly
  • I will create a plan to afford the life I desire
  • Having money is not bad, it allows me to have choices
  • The more I make, the more I can make a difference to those less fortunate
  • I get to work for money and I get to invest and make my money work for me

I remember asking my father what was the most important thing in life. His response was the freedom to choose.

Business Class - The Importance of Clearing Clutter
play

11/03/22 • 11 min

This week we are discussing clutter. You know, physical clutter that takes up space in your living spaces as well as the clutter residing rent free in your mind.

It’s not just the stuff on the floor, but it’s about anything that gets between you and the life you want to live.

How you show up in consciously caring for your home and working environment is how you show up generally in your life. It’s like a barometer for how you view the world and your place in it.

Clutter can easily take over your life and make it feel crowded. Clutter collects dust, and makes your surrounding lose meaning. It can be limiting and suffocating and what’s required is to get straight to work and clean your space up.

When was the last time that you went through your wardrobe, your office, pantry or bathroom to clear what no longer served you. This can be a very empowering activity, and one that should be done on a regular basis, one room or area at a time.

Decluttering isn’t about creating more pressure or unnecessary anxiety, but it can be about constantly addressing clutter, in small steps, so that it doesn’t accumulate and become a task that seems too great to tackle.

So tune in to listen.

Business Class - New Moon Intentions

New Moon Intentions

Business Class

play

11/28/22 • 6 min

I'm certain that I'm not alone in my love of astrology and the curiosity around moon rituals.

Ancient civilisations used the moon as a timepiece and the cycles of the moon to guide them, and today our modern civilisation also uses the moon cycles for planning and living a more fruitful life, whether that’s gardening and harvesting by the moon cycles or being purposeful with our life’s intentions.

Have you ever wondered about the difference between the full moon and the new moon?

The new moon phase is a more introspective time and represents new beginnings as we plant seeds for the future. During a new moon, tt's a good time to set clear intentions for the month ahead, clarify your goals, start new projects, and acknowledge your growth since the previous new moon.

The full moon is about reaping what you sowed in the new moon phase. It’s about harvesting the fruits of your labour.

Recently I had mentioned to a friend that I needed to step into my power, step into Business Class, and take the necessary action that I had been putting off... And just like that, it’s what this season is all about, having refined and completed the design for the 2023 diary, which by the way you can order directly at my website (cheeky little plug), and I’ve been refining the content, imagery and including more downloadable worksheets on my online course. I’m so excited to bring this course to you.

Truly, my motivation has been soaring and I’m feeling inspired, and ambitious. I have stepped into becoming more productive and focussed, and building the platform from which to launch the next level of Business Class.

Learn how you can use intentions to level up to the next version of yourself. Tune in to listen to this episode.

Business Class - Becoming a Boundary Queen
play

06/04/22 • 10 min

Become a Boundary Queen. We’ve all been there. Saying YES, when you really wanted to say NO. Boundaries can be tricky. We give those close to us whether its family, friends, work colleagues or acquaintances access to the best part of us. But we need to remind ourselves that we are in charge of who has access, and how often they have access, and under what circumstances that access happens. So, what is a boundary? A boundary is a demarcation between things we are responsible for and those things we can’t be responsible for. You'll learn tips and tricks about setting healthy boundaries, why they are so important, how to stand in your power.

Business Class - End of Financial Year Checklist
play

06/26/23 • 6 min

The end of financial year is approaching quickly, so I'm chiming in here to make sure you've got your head around the things you need to think about, or to take action on. BEFORE 30 JUNE Consider what you'd like to prepay before 30 June. It might be new plant and equipment, leasing a vehicle, office supplies, stationery, creditors or investing in your staff by way of training and courses. Here's a little plug for the eCourse for Entrepreneurs, a course for business owners, startups, and managers.

It is also a good time to discuss insurance needs with your broker. You may have important changes to your business that should be taken into account when renewing the policies.

When claiming any deductions for your business, be sure to have records to support the expenses that you claim. So, what are some of the deductions? These may relate to travel expenses, computers and/or tools and machinery, motor vehicle expense, or website and IT costs. Conduct a stocktake so that you have accurate records of stock on hand. After the final pay-run is processed before 30 June you will need to make sure that you have met all the superannuation requirements with regard to reporting and payments. For this financial year there is a super contribution cap of $27,500. What does this mean? Say your salary is $80k, super on that amount will be $8,400 and that's what will be paid during the year into your Superfund. The difference between $27,500 (being the cap) and $8,400 (being the year's contribution) is $19,100 and that would be the extra amount of superannuation that you can contribute to your fund. It's important to speak to your accountant and financial advisor about this. If a super cap payment is made, it needs to happen before 30 June. Engage an external consultant to reconcile the end of year payroll summaries. This will help to confirm that payments paid for salaries, super, PAYG or other payments to staff or to yourself if you're flying solo, indeed match the records lodged at the Australian Taxation Office through Single Touch Payroll. If they don't match, then you've got time to remedy the situation.

AFTER 30 JUNE If you’re running a business you are most likely using an accounting platform like MYOB, Xero or the like.

  • Download bank statements to 30 June for your everyday business account, VISA, AMEX, other credit cards, or business savings account
  • Reconcile all your bank statements to 30 June
  • Collate copies of expenses paid for your business
  • Download share portfolio statements
  • Collate expenses paid for property investments (utilities, insurance, repairs and maintenance, land tax, annual rental statement), and any bank loan statements
  • Prepare and collate a copy the April-June quarter BAS statement
  • Collate copies of insurance invoices paid (life, travel, computer, public liability, professional indemnity, landlord)
  • Lodge WorkCover declaration for the financial year and an estimate of remuneration for the new financial year

You or your bookkeeper will be able to access the data and run the necessary end of financial year reports.

  • Profit and Loss Statement
  • Trial Balance
  • General Ledger
  • Debtors
  • Creditors

This email is for information purposes only, and it is recommended that you speak to your accountant or financial advisor to obtain professional advice. With warmest regards and best wishes for a happy financial year, Eugenia xx ***Until 30 June 2023 the introductory investment for the eCourse for Entrepreneurs is $397. The represents a savings of hundreds of dollars. Enroll now :)
