It blows our minds that more brands aren't podcasting. Who wouldn't want the opportunity to speak directly to your audience in a fun and engaging way? Brian Cristiano and Rob Cressy dish about why podcasting makes sense for brands. From time to time, when inspiration strikes us, we'll give some additional thoughts about a topic. There is no script for this, we just let it rip, have fun, and let you in on our conversation. We call these OTR's (off the record). - In each episode of The Sports Marketing Huddle, CEO of BOLD Worldwide Brian Cristiano, and Founder of Cress Media & Bacon Sports Rob Cressy give a forward-thinking perspective about some of the hottest topics in the world of sports marketing and then give you actionable advice for how you can implement it into your business. Built For The Game with Rob Cressy - EP-197 How To Increase Fan Engagement Around The Playoffs
play

04/13/17 • 12 min

The NHL playoffs just started and with it comes a journey for both the players and fans to win the greatest trophy in all of professional sports, the Stanley Cup. Because of the cache of Lord Stanley, the NHL has successfully engaged fans with its #becauseitsthecup and #myplayoffsmoment hashtags, getting them to send in photos and videos of them sharing their experience. What can teams do to encourage fans to send in more videos? On the other side of the pond, the NBA playoffs are set to start this weekend and they are in a different scenario than the NHL thanks to appealing to a larger, non-niche audience. It’s much easier for a casual fan to watch LeBron James or Steph Curry than it is Sidney Crosby or Patrick Kane. What can the NBA do to generate a similar level of fanaticism that the NHL has with #becauseitsthecup? Lastly, what can workplaces do to jump on the bandwagon of both these playoffs and encourage participation for their employees? In each episode of The Sports Marketing Huddle, CEO of BOLD Worldwide Brian Cristiano, and Founder of Cress Media & Bacon Sports Rob Cressy give a forward-thinking perspective about some of the hottest topics in the world of sports marketing and then give you actionable advice on how you can implement it into your business. Our goal of the podcast is to create the best sports marketing podcast and take The Sports Marketing Huddle up to #1 on iTunes New & Noteworthy.
