BTB Ep 66: Avenged Sevenfold vs. Warner Bros.; Cari Cole interview, Dave loves Rogue One

The suit involves Avenged terminating their agreement with Warner in 2015 under a provision of California law that allows people to terminate personal services contracts longer than seven years (which many record deals often do). The big issue in the case will be how much Avenged will owe its label in damages for the final album under the Warner deal that was never made. Listeners of the Podcast need to follow this case carefully, as its eventual resolution will have massive implications on the power struggle between labels and artists in the New Music Industry In the second segment, vocal coach and music industry consultant Cari Cole stops.
