In this episode, I share with you a little bit of my journey to learn some of the technical aspects of fictions writing on my own this summer and the short story that came from one of the topics, Murder on the Line.
The topic explored in Murder on the Line is the unreliable narrator, a concept utilized in any many of your favorite books and movies.
If you enjoy today's tale, please hit that subscribe button, that's a big help in getting us on the curated lists on the different podcast apps, and take a second to leave a 5-star rating and review so when new listeners do find us, they'll know they're going to love us and why.
I've made it super easy to support the show. From time to time I will recommend a book or feature a writer on the show, and I am creating a list of these featured books on my blog. When you go through the link on my blog to purchase the book, it is an Amazon affiliate link, and I get small commission that doesn't cost you any extra or take anything away from the hard-working authors. Also, I'll receive a commission on any other items you buy after clicking on affiliate links on my blog, even if you don't buy one of the books. Recently reading the amazing crime thriller, The Association, by Sharon Ann Ziegler had me recalling my last two years trying to be a unsung hero in my deep dive into a real life crime, the 1978 Burger Chef Murders. In this story, I fill you in on my experiences and how life seemed to imitate art in eerie ways as I was reading The Assocation.

In 1959, Herb and Bonnie Clutter's American dream was shattered when two men broke into their rural Kansas home and took their lives, the lives of their two teenage children, and little else.
Just over six years later, their tragedy became the great American true crime novel, “In Cold Blood” by Truman Capote.
In this episode, I review the first part of Capote's amazing work and then give you my narration of the Clutter family murders.
