Fun Fact: Although Georgia is known as "The Peach State," South Carolina actually produces more peaches than any other state east of the Mississippi. Nationally, it is second to California...maybe Stew was right, don't tell him!

96. [Georgia] Terry Rouse
This week we are going to the swamps of Georgia to cover the disappearance, and suspected murder, of Terry Rouse. This case ends with a conviction but did the jury make the right decision?
Fun Fact: In Georgia, it is illegal to carry an ice cream cone in your back pocket on Sundays. In the early 1900s, it was common for horse thieves to lure horses away from their owners by placing a sweet treat, like an ice cream cone, in their back pocket. When the horse leaned down to eat the treat, the thief would grab the reins and ride off with the horse. To prevent this form of theft, the state of Georgia passed a law that prohibited anyone from keeping an ice cream cone in their back pocket on Sundays.

A Little Less Mess [Mississippi] Stacie Pannell
Welcome to A Little Less Mess, it's our companion episode to our main weekly releases. In ALLM, you will find just the facts, no opinions, no jokes, no banter, but do not fear! If you would like to hear our full thoughts on this case (and inappropriate jokes) check out the weekly regular episodes released on Thursdays (they're the numbered episodes).
College student Stacie Pannell was found bludgeoned to death in her college dorm in the small town of Booneville, Mississippi. Police were at a loss until a very unlikely suspect was identified.
Fun Fact: Root beer was created in Biloxi by Edward Adolf Barq. Though the first examples of root beer date back to the 1870s as a drink for miners, it wasn't until later that it gained popularity. The modern version of the drink was invented in Biloxi, Mississippi. Barq created the now-famous Barq's root beer in 1898. The drink was popular right away and saw a boom in sales in the 1920s during the US prohibition.
