Derek Guy of Die! Workwear - PATREON PREVIEW

Blamo!

For years, like many of you, I’ve been a massive fan of Derek Guy, the author of the popular site, Die! Workwear.

Derek is a writer and personality unlike any I’ve ever known in the industry. It’s not because of how he dresses – because good luck finding a picture of him anyway – but his writing is often from a historical perspective and reminds us how we dress connects to our culture. Every time I read his work, I walk away enlightened.

So I asked him about the resurgence of #menswear, something I’m ecstatic about and hopeful for – his answer was not what I expected, but after re-listening, it’s what I needed to hear.

Derek and I discuss how dressing is a social act, the psychology of clothing, and philosophy of menswear.

PROJECT Digital Live Event: The Return of the Roaring 20's?

Hey Folks,

Yes, the new season is coming, but I wanted to share with you a recent event we were a part of with the PROJECT, the fashion trade show.

I had the pleasure of chatting with past guests, Bryan Trunzo, Head of Brands for Informa Markets, Jordan Page of Very Advanced, and Bruce Pask, the men’s fashion director of Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

We chat about post-pandemic fashion, shared our predictions for an extremely optimistic future, and the return of occasion dress!

Enjoy, and we’ll see you in a few weeks with all new Blamo! Episodes.

Matty Matheson

My guest this week is father, Canadian chef, and TV host Matty Matheson.

We explore Matty’s career, clothes he’s buying in quarantine, and his history with punk music. He and I discuss his north star: Embracing imperfection and being proud of who you are. Last but not least, Matty gives us the scoop on how he’s building more infrastructure around himself, to bring more videos, and more importantly, more laughs.
