Disparity of Police Response - Preview to Episode 224
This week on Black on Black Cinema, the crew returns to announce the next film, "Emergency." The film follows three college kids of color who plan on a wild night of partying but are sidetracked when they find an unconscious white girl in their dorm. Too afraid to call the police for obvious reasons, the three try to make it through the night safe and secure while figuring out what happened. The random topic this week is the difference in how police react to minorities for things like drugs vs how they reacted in Uvalde when presented with a mass shooter. The disparity is just a small symptom of something larger, its at the heart of policing in this country.
