Beyond The Speech

Beyond The Speech

Sagar soni

Do you honestly think that all the highly successful people with great businesses and books and youtube channels out there with their productivity hacks, they have it all figured out? Do they never feel down and just want to lay in bed all day watching Netflix and eat Cheetos with 1 hand and gulping a drink in another? Do they really follow all the hacks that they talk about in their books and really squeeze productivity out of their day and consistently perform at their peak? Do they feel nice? Well, you are in the right place.

I am starting this podcast out of a deep-seated curiosity and a desire to learn from.....everyone. As someone constantly seeking to improve myself, I found myself drawn to the stories and strategies of those who have achieved any type of success in their respective fields.

So this podcast is about those stories. The books that I read, what I learnt from them, Readers, authors, productivity gurus, or just a random stranger on social media who might be able to help ME level up and in doing so, help you.

Welcome to Beyond The Speech!
In this episode, I speak about the takeaways I found most interesting in the book Indistractable by Nir Eyal.
Nir Eyal writes, consults, and teaches about the intersection of psychology, technology, and business.
He previously taught as a Lecturer in Marketing at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford.
Nir is the author of two bestselling books
- Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products
- Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life.

The main takeaways I found from the book that I think are worth sharing are about
- Internal Triggers
- External Triggers
- Time Blocking

In addition, I talk about a specific hack that I have for myself that helps me control my phone addictions. Its an app called "Opal". If you want to learn more about it, check out the link below.
https://www.opal.so/
I am no way affiliated with this company, but I just LOVE it.

Welcome to Beyond The Speech!
As part of journey in finding authors, books, youtubers and every other expert out there, I came across Matthew Dicks and his book, Someday is Today.
Matthew is a storyteller, author, school teacher and an expert in finding time in little cracks throughout the day.
The book is about Productivity and how we need to evaluate how spend our time and where we NEED to buy back your time. All of this is important because Time = Freedom. Buying back Time means, there is a cost to getting that level of freedom.
This is what the book is about: Strategies, techniques, mindset shifts and much more. Hope you enjoy it.
