Episode #2
“Eat to live, don't live to eat.”
― Benjamin Franklin
In this episode, we journey back to 1879 and discuss the horrific crimes of Swift Runner, a Cree man who murdered and cannibalized his entire family. When asked why he committed such an unspeakable act, Swift Runner blamed his crimes on the Wendigo. The Wendigo is a creature of legend that haunts the northern forests with an insatiable lust for human flesh. It eats and eats, but is never satisfied.
Why did Swift Runner slaughter his entire family? Was he really under the influence of the Wendigo? How could a man commit such a horrific act?
Sit down, relax, and let the mayhem begin.
