Bede Vs. The Living Dead Episode 16 - Dead Neighbors (2018) and Night Of The British Dead (2022)

Hey, everyone! Welcome to episode 16 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. The podcast where your host Bede Jermyn explores the remakes, re-edits, reimaginings, homages, unofficial follow-ups and more to George A. Romero’s 1968 classic Night Of The Living Dead across all media.

If you remember all the way back on episode 3 of the show, Bede delved into both a short film homage and comedic redubbing of the Night Of The Living Dead, which were the 1990 short Night Of The Living Bread and the 1991 film Night Of The Day Of The Dawn Of The Son Of The Bride Of The Return Of The Revenge Of The Terror Of The Attack Of The Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2 In Shocking 2-D. During that episode, Bede mentioned that there was another short film and comedic redubbing out there, and that he would tackle them on a future episode of the podcast. Well, as promised, that very epsiode has finally arrived. For this one, Bede will be be looking at the 2018 short film Dead Neighbors and Night Of The British Dead, a 2021 British comedic redubbing of the original NOTLD from The Ridiculous Film Company.

Joining Bede to to discuss of these two films, is a returning guest who actually was on episode 3 to chat about the previous short film and comedic redubbing that the show tackled: Lindsay Wilkins, the host of the double feature podcast ⁠Schlock & Awe⁠. ⁠Highlights in this one include Bede & Lindsay discussing now Dead Neighbors is a loving tribute to George A.
