“I never felt better in my life!” he used to say.
He was a “glass half full” person.
It’s easier to be a “glass half empty” person. Problems parade in front of us on the news, and sometimes even in our own families. Sometimes the problems seem greater than in the past. So maybe it’s impossible to be a “glass half full” person now?

The more you practice something the better you are at doing it. Right? But maybe you are like me, I want to be able to do things that I have not worked that hard to learn or practice. At one time I envisioned myself a decent skier, but I have never been skiing and that’s a bit of a problem at being good at anything, not having ever done it. I have given up on that fantasy.
I also see myself as a mindful person, aware in the moment. But I am often distracted and of two minds. I say, “
