Be Calm on Ahway Island Bedtime Stories

Today’s the day Billy and Emily work together on their robot build. Where will their cooperation take the toy?

Hello everyone! We hope you enjoyed our new story this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Robot Build,” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Narrator: Male

Story Begins: 8:04

Robot Build Excerpt:

After dinner, Billy examined the instruction book one more time. He and Emily were going to build their robot today and he wanted to be prepared. As Billy read the instructions his little sister bounded down the hall. “Are you ready?” she asked sliding to a stop right next to her brother’s chair.

“I think I’d better read the manual one more time.” Billy said. He wanted to make the perfect robot.

Emily sighed. She knew her big brother had already read the manual twice. Emily also knew the look on Billy’s face. He needed to read it one more time. So even though Emily was eager to get started, she decided she would let her brother finish reading the instructions before suggesting that they begin the build. Instead she decided to try something else. “While you’re reading, I’ll organize the parts.” Emily suggested.

“Good idea!” Billy said as he turned to the last page of instructions.

768. Helpful Hike: a meditation and bedtime story for children

Hettie Hippo goes on a walk with Oliver Elephant and Janine Giraffe and learns a lesson about how friends can help one another.

Narrator: Male

Story Begins: 4:30

Helpful Hike Excerpt:

One sunny afternoon at Ahway Island Animal Sanctuary, Hettie Hippo stood under a giant maple tree near her pond home. The tree’s branches were covered with leaves of all sorts of dazzling hues – bright red, sunny yellow, and warm orange. Hettie loved this time of year because it turned the world into a canvas of pretty colors.

As Hettie admired the magnificent tree and its vibrant leaves, a familiar voice called out her name. “Hettie, we’re here!” It was Janine Giraffe, who trotted over with Oliver Elephant trailing behind her.

“Sorry we’re a bit late,” Oliver said apologetically, “we got distracted by some beautiful butterflies.”

Today’s Meditation: Feel calm and relaxed as you imagine a baby elephant and its mama. Creating the original bedtime stories and art for Be Calm on Ahway Island takes a lot of time and care.

769. Playful Performance: a meditation and kid’s tale

Clara Clarinet is about to perform in her first concert, but she has a bit of stage fright.

Narrator: Male

Story Begins: 3:48

Playful Performance Excerpt:

Clara the clarinet was snug in her velvety case, feeling a gentle sway as her little girl carried her. Clara had been a part of her little girl’s life for a while now, sharing music lessons and practicing at home together. But today was no ordinary day; it was a day Clara had been awaiting for a long time. Today was her very first concert with her little girl.

Clara’s heart fluttered with excitement as they made their way to the concert. At last, the gentle swaying came to a halt, and Clara’s case popped open, revealing her little girl’s beaming face. Clara couldn’t help but beam back with delight. Her little friend was dressed in a pretty black dress, and with great care, she lifted Clara from her cozy case. Clara saw that they were in the music room. It was filled with all sorts of instruments, from shiny trumpets to elegant violins, and even some gleaming saxophones. The room buzzed with excitement as young musicians, like Clara’s little girl, got ready for their big performance.
