- If Bayern Munich adds Désiré Doué and Xavi Simons, Bayern Munich is going to be way too overcrowded in the attack...right?

We’re back and so is Bayern Munich — on the pitch at least. In the transfer window, the club seems a bit stuck. Only one winter transfer has been confirmed so far, and while Eric Dier is a quality depth piece, he’s not exactly a blockbuster signing. Also, tragedy struck last week as the club lost its biggest ever legend. It’s still hard to process that, but we will try to address it.
In this podcast, INNN and Samrin talk about the following:
- What do we think of Bayern Munich’s winter transfer business so far?
- Is Eric Dier and (potentially) Nordi Mukiele enough for the team?
- Why does Bayern Munich seem to want a complete paradigm shift in the squad? Is that why the club is saving money?
- Joshua Kimmich might want to leave this summer now.
- Is Alphonso Davies really ready to move to Real Madrid?
- How other players — Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, etc. — could all be on the move in the summer.
- Why is Thomas Tuchel been given this much power in squad planning?
- End note: Our thoughts on the passing of Der Kaiser.

Bayern Munich has returned to training, but somehow the transfer action has been hotter than what has been going on during the practice sessions.
Knowing that Bayern Munich is eager to spend some money and add a few players during this transfer window, the rumors are flowing. Let’s take a look at what we have on tap for this week’s episode:
- Catching-up on some an older take to see how it is going.
- A rundown of the rumor mill, including what we have heard about VfB Stuttgart’s Alexander Nübel and Serhou Guirassy, Chelsea FC’s Trevoh Chalobah, Fulham FC’s João Palhinha, and AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori.
- The increasing likelihood that Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Frans Krätzig could leave on loan assignments.
- Discussing the Bild report that Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry, Matthijs de Ligt and Alphonso Davies are being closely monitored and how that could mean bad things for their respective futures with the club.
- Finally, we lighten it up with some thoughts on this season of Fargo and my progress working through the Marvel movies.

Bavarian Podcast Works — The Bundesliga Rundown with Marcus Iredahl: Matchday 30
Bavarian Podcast Works
04/21/25 • 38 min
Thanks to brave St. Pauli’s efforts against Bayer Leverkusen, Matchday 30 of the Bundesliga was the one where Bayern Munich became (almost) champions.
With the title race effectively settled, what else is there to get excited about? Well, how about an unprecedented battle for the European places? In this episode, we dive into:
- Marcus’s predictions on which teams can restore Germany’s reputation in Europe next season.
- Whether the inconsistent RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund can still make it to the Champions League.
- Why Marcus believes Borussia Mönchengladbach will qualify for Europe – and why Mainz 05 won’t.
- And the big one: Can Werder Bremen go from 2. Bundesliga to the Champions League in under four years?

Bayern Munich hearts and souls were filled with joy and tears simultaneously as Thomas Müller bid adieu to the Bayern faithful at the Allianz Arena. While Bayern has very little to play for in their final game, there are critical season-defining fixtures for Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Mainz coming up. This is what we have for this episode:
- Final thoughts on Thomas Müller’s “testimonial” against Borussia Mönchengladbach
- A nod to Manuel Neuer who had a fantastic game against Gladbach
- The ongoing negotiations concerning Leroy Sané and Dayot Upamecano
- After Xabi Alonso’s announced departure, we discuss what constitutes longevity for a Bundesliga coach
- Samrin gets carried away with different permutations about how the third, fourth and fifth placed teams might end up in either the UEFA Champions League or the Europa League!
- Samrin also gets carried away with different permutations for second and third spots in the 2.Bundesliga!
