Struggling For Support At Home
The journey to better health for a Bariatric Bro is not an easy one. However, that path can be made smoother to navigate when you have the full support and encouragement of your significant other. Mike talks with his wife, Stacey, about her feelings on his decision to have bariatric surgery and how it affected their lives. They also discuss how to talk about these issues if your partner is not supportive of your choice.
Mike is obsessed with chaffles! That leads to an interesting conversation with Steve I - The Chaffle Guy and a brand new segment on the podcast. Plus, we have another BBros Shout Out!

Bariatric Bros Chaffle of the Week: Basic Chaffle
Recipe
1 large egg
2 Tbsp almond flour
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
pinch of salt
- Blend ingredients in a bowl until combined.
- When waffle maker is fully heated, add half the mixture and close. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Look for the stream to stop rising from the chaffle.
- Remove chaffle and repeat the process with the other half of the mixture.
- Chaffles will become more crisp if set aside for a few minutes after cooking.
Steve I The Chaffle Guy says:
This is the base for many chaffle recipes. You can add spices and toppings
to create your own versions.
I usually add 1/8 tsp baking flower (check that it does not contain aluminum)
as well as a tsp of Heavy whipping cream.
Check out our IG or FB for a picture of this weeks finished chaffle here!
