Cheese Head Spotlight: Wisconsin Recall Fever!! Wisconsin recall process for governor is half over. The signatures are collected and now the fun begins. It’s time to verify the signatures. This comes with its own joys.

Recall Petitions. To publish or to not publish. The Government Accountability Board received requests to not publish the petitions. The reason: Stalkers!! Some feared for their safety because they signed a public document with their real name and address, and these names and addresses would get out if the petitions were published on the web. After a an extra day and opinion from the state’s Attorneys General, the General Accountability Board published all the petition, with identified stalking victims names redacted. See it here
Interest groups are putting together their own searchable database to look up petition signers. Verify the Recall is the biggest.
