  • Podcast Q&A

Why did you start this show?

Bad Heroes is a homebrew campaign following a group of strangers thrown together on a mission to hunt deadly curses in a realm bound to Hell itself, all while surviving their own bad choices. Our goal is to create that around-the-table feel that represents the best part of playing TTRPGs, bring you along on an immersive journey, make you laugh (and maybe cry), and stretch the legal limit of puns per hour.

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

Our biggest hope is that listening to our show makes your day better! If you're a fan of action and intrigue with a healthy dose of comedy — and looking for a new long-form story to dive into — then you've come to the right place. Our episodes are tightly edited and highly bingeable, and many of the show's themes revolve around healing, growth, connection, and finding bright moments in bleak times.

Which episode should someone start with?

We recommend starting with S1E1 to experience the entire story as it unfolds, but we also have a recap episode that covers the events of S1E1-S1E25 and lets you skip ahead to the beginning of our second arc, The Wild Hunt.

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

We're big fans of S1E16-S1E20, which span the thrilling conclusion of our first arc, The Forgotten Court. The roleplaying, storytelling and audio production are all kicked into high gear for the first time in these episodes, and if we’re being honest, everything that comes after it is an unforgettable ride that never lets up.

What is your vision for your show?

Fun fact: the entire cast of Bad Heroes is LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or both! Our table has major found family vibes because that's what we are to each other, and our mission is to tell kind, inclusive stories — the type we would have loved to see ourselves reflected in when we were growing up.
