Ready, Set, Read: Ways to Increase Literacy in the Home
We are getting back to school and education is on the mind, but it can be daunting as a parent to know how to get your kids back in the school-mode. Literacy is a huge part of kids' learning journey and you might be wondering how you help your kid along the way, how do they catch the vision (especially if you're not much of a reader yourself)? Brooke Anderson, the Community Impact Manager at the United Way of Idaho Falls, shares with us ways we can bring literacy in the home and help kids at different ages make literacy a part of their every day experience. She also gives some details about United Way's "Ready, Set, Read" program and how you can get your hands on free books!
