Retired homicide Detective Lieutenant Joe Kenda steps into the Interrogation Room to get his story straight. Joe spent more than 23 years with the Colorado Springs Police Department, most of which was in homicide. He investigated or oversaw 387 murder cases, and he and his team closed more than 92% of them before his retirement. Additional advancements in forensic science close more each year. Joe is the host of two Discovery channel shows, "Joe Kenda: Homicide Hunter" and "American Detective." He's written two books, "I Will Find You: Solving Killer Cases From My Life Fighting Crime," and his latest release, entitled "Killer Triggers." For this episode, Joe and host Gavin Reese discuss the realities of investigating violent crime, the cost that police families endure, and how Joe's second career has changed his life and restored more of his humanity.
