Last month, I hosted Atish All Night Los Angeles: a 7 hour open-to-close set in a warehouse. It was one of my best DJ experiences of the last few years, as Atish All Night’s tend to be. A broad selection of remixers showcases the variety of sounds and styles that find a home in atish’s sets and in the Manjumasi label catalog. First up, Map.ache offers a groove-driven smooth and floaty remix of Touch & Go, well balanced with intricate details. Next up, Mihai Popoviciu & Markus Homm do what they do best, putting some dance floor heat on Instant Transmission with a super-sturdy bassline groove and dubby textures floating over the mix.
