Scott Donnell | Making Financial Literacy Fun
11/02/22 • 30 min
Today’s episode, “Making Financial Literacy Fun,” features my guest, Scott Donnell. Scott is a serial entrepreneur with many businesses and projects. These range from Hapbee, which creates and sells a device that uses magnetic fields to improve a person’s mood; to GravyStack, an app that helps educate kids on finances; to HeroMaker Studios, a decentralized comic universe. Scott recently sold Apex Education, a company that helps kids develop leadership skills and have fun with fitness while fundraising for their schools. Scott wants to be a new breed of GOAT — a well-rounded greatest of all time who wins in business but is equally successful in terms of family, faith, and health.
In this episode, Ken and Scott discuss financial literacy and how to educate the next generation. Scott is releasing his new app, GravyStack, to the public soon. The app uses techniques like gaming to teach children and young adults to become financially literate. By making it fun, Scott has made investing and financial planning principles easy to digest and remember.

January Donovan | Recognizing Your Value
Today’s episode, “Recognizing Your Value,” features my guest, January Donovan. January is a self-worth strategist, best-selling author, and founder of The Woman School. She founded The Woman School to fight the injustice against women’s self-worth, and the company went from 0 to 30 countries in under 2 years and grew 1000%. She believes it is time for our world to recognize the value of the ‘whole’ woman and not just what the culture dictates makes her valuable.
In this episode, Ken and January discuss what it means to be valuable today. Our society has trained us to think we have value with the perfect body, possessions, power, prestige, and how much money we have. However, January says that we are all born irreplaceable and unrepeatable. Therefore, our value can never lie in the external. When women don’t understand that, they endure unnecessary hardship.
January says there is a systematic approach to rewiring this mindset. The first step is awareness. The second step is to rewire your brain. And the third step is to build new skills. Why is this so important? January says when a woman doesn’t see the value in herself, she won’t see it in others. Explore this and so much more in today’s episode.
