January Donovan | Recognizing Your Value

As The Leader Grows with Ken Joslin

play

10/26/22 • 30 min

Today’s episode, “Recognizing Your Value,” features my guest, January Donovan. January is a self-worth strategist, best-selling author, and founder of The Woman School. She founded The Woman School to fight the injustice against women’s self-worth, and the company went from 0 to 30 countries in under 2 years and grew 1000%. She believes it is time for our world to recognize the value of the ‘whole’ woman and not just what the culture dictates makes her valuable.

In this episode, Ken and January discuss what it means to be valuable today. Our society has trained us to think we have value with the perfect body, possessions, power, prestige, and how much money we have. However, January says that we are all born irreplaceable and unrepeatable. Therefore, our value can never lie in the external. When women don’t understand that, they endure unnecessary hardship.

January says there is a systematic approach to rewiring this mindset. The first step is awareness. The second step is to rewire your brain. And the third step is to build new skills. Why is this so important? January says when a woman doesn’t see the value in herself, she won’t see it in others. Explore this and so much more in today’s episode.

Coaching with Ken | Emotional Triggers Pt.1

As The Leader Grows with Ken Joslin

play

10/24/22 • 29 min

In this constructive coaching series with Ken Joslin, you’ll hear how Ken recently faced an emotional trigger. Ken starts this episode by asking the question: do you react or respond? When you get triggered, you have the POWER.

Ken is open and honest about how he feels and how he has to battle his knee-jerk responses just like everyone else. He tells listeners why it’s so important to recognize the authority you have when you’re triggered. Ken ends part one with a distinction listeners can use right away: are you a thermostat or a thermometer? Ken explains the difference between those as it relates to emotional triggers and more in this episode.
