Letting Go of the Baggage
Hey Family,
So I would be wrong to not have mentioned in this episode the crisis and hardship happening internationally with COVID-19. This pandemic has been medically and financially hard on numerous individuals and I will share pages and websites on my social networks that may add in support.
With many...or all my events being canceled I decided to spend the first few days of my time doing a deep cleaning. I stumbled upon some items that sparked moments that made me recognize the wall many of us have in our lives. I took a step back and recognized that I needed to let the baggage of my past go.

#SAAM The Conversations We Need to Have
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and this year is the 19th anniversary. To see how many movements we have is amazing and I think we have done so much work but still we have work to go.
This episode is my thoughts on trauma informed care as described in the article "What Happens Now: The Conversation We Need To Be Having" I had the honor of writing on behalf of The Army of Survivors. The three main points:
-Understanding transgenerational trauma
-Being trauma informed
-Healing
I encourage you to read the article which goes deeper and let me know your thoughts, questions, and comments surrounding the topic. This is a heavy time for folks and speaking on sexual violence is never easy no matter how many times I do it. But to all the survivors you are loved and you are needed and we support you.
