Another Noisy Noise Podcast

Today's episode focuses on the rock band Pavement and selected songs from their 1997 album Brighten the Corners. This is a journey that has a want to explore the selected songs' lyrics to go deeper than the surface level meaning, or at least I make an attempt to. In typical Another Noisy Noise fashion, I use speculation as a tool to marry my ideas and interpretations of my findings to connect them to geopolitics and its place in world history.

Season 2 Ep.9 "What's In A Name?"

Today's episode takes a critical look at names, surnames, their meanings throughout history to the now and uses the famous line "What's in a Name?" from William Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo & Juliet to base the assertions made to answer such a hefty question. Throughout all of human history this question has been there asking of humanity to recognize its depths of existential dread. Beyond the names of persons, places and things, names find themselves having other supposition by via implied power by men and God.

Hello and welcome to Another Noisy Noise, just another fucking noise out there in the universe, Podcast. I want to ask you something. What comes to mind when you hear the word noise? Is it a clanging sound? Is it the voices of the billions of people on this planet? Or is it the planet itself screaming through space? There are no shortages of noises out there in the universe but lets bring it back down to earth and pare out some noises, together, through this podcast.

This show is an honest attempt to help those blinded by their station in a status quo see that some of the noises being made and taken in by them are noises specifically engineered to fill up important spaces and in doing so, they often drown out any noise being made by those who exist in those very spaces. I want to change that. I hope to do so by creating a new space, by going straight to the sources of the people deemed different by the status quo, asking them if they will take advantage of this space to share their truths to make heard their noise, and through their stories and their myriad of experiences I hope to achieve this and weave a tapestry of noises that make up the majority of the worlds’ societies to exist for all of time.

S2 E10 ANOTHER NOISY NOISE: SHOW ME A WORD THAT RHYMES WITH PAVEMENT

In 1978 James Urban met up with Tom Perry, a tree enthusiast with a PhD from Harvard, to discuss Mr. Perry’s belief that urban architects were killing trees with their design or to paraphrase “Pavement kills soil”.

*Intro Card*

In order to do the American musical act known as Pavement any justice, and not simply winging it referring to their history and background, I’ll instead refer to their wikipe
