Confidence is a key component for a thriving amiga. As a woman, it is intimidating to be in professional settings surrounded by a majority of male colleagues and counterparts. However, our voice, intuition, and expertise can be used to our advantage and fuel our confidence to contribute to the same conversations.


In this episode, I am joined by the inspiring Maria Salinas. Maria is the President & CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the largest business association in Los Angeles County that represents more than 235,000 businesses across the Los Angeles region. Ms. Salinas became the first woman and Latina to lead the Chamber in its 132-year history in August of 2018. Throughout this episode, Maria shares her experience growing up as the daughter of Mexican immigrants, how she has become confident in her voice, her career journey to becoming President & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, and what her advice is for amigas.
