Episode 45 - Something Old Is Made… Old… Again

Episode 45 - Something Old Is Made... Old... Again The guys get in their way back machine this week and put together an episode structured remarkably like their earlier episodes. There’s streaming picks, a movie watched by all, and a game of trivia that a certain someone obviously dominates at... Pete jump on the grenade early and talks about the 90’s classic City Slickers. He does take some heat for watching something so old, but it’s a universally loved film, so the guys are able to let that go. But, as usual, Pete goes one step too far and goes even further back by watching the 80’s G.I. Joe cartoon. The nostalgia train only goes so far... Next up, Kevin makes short work of his time acknowledging and praising season 6 of Schitt’s Creek. Sure, he talked about it last week, but it’s THAT good. Next he discusses the Ben Platt show The Politician on Netflix and gives it an overall solid review. Next up, Opie watches The Banker on Apple TV+ which he gives a pretty stellar review of. He then does on a virtual courtship of Michelle Dockery by watching Defending Jacob on Apple TV+ and then turning around and watching the 2019 Downton Abbey movie. Finally Alex jumps all aboard the Pete Express and watches the classic Brendan Fraser flick, Bedazzled. He then takes a hard turn right back to Alex-Land by talking about The Last Kingdom on Netflix. And just in case that didn’t satiate your need for Alex-ness, he also talks the Lord of the Rings video game, Shadow of War. Finally, before the break, they guys talk about the new Chris Hemsworth film on Netflix, Extraction. Reviews are about what you’d expect if you’ve watched the trailer, but certainly no one hated it. After the break, the guys play a 2003 Entertainment version of Trivial Pursuit which puts Alex into a deeper hole than usual. Will he win? You’ll have to listen to find out!
