In this week's episode of Alicyn's Wonderland, we are joined by veteran animator Robb Pratt. Robb has had an illustrious career spanning decades, starting as a traditional animator at Feature Animation in the 90s before moving on to work on Disney modern classics like Pocahontas, Tarzan, Hercules, Kim Possible, and the Disney Plus animated show Firebuds. He has also played a key role in the animation of the Nickelodeon hit animation Danny Phantom and a long list of other projects. In addition, Robb is an independent animated filmmaker, with credits including Superman Classic and Bizarro Class, and is the creator of CARMAN - The Road Rage Anti-Hero.

In this episode, Robb takes us on a journey into his past, sharing fantastic stories about his childhood and the lessons he learned from Disney animators, getting insider info on all of Disney's upcoming hit animation films, and eventually securing a desk at the studio where all the animation magic happened in the 90s. Robb also gives a detailed explanation of what went into creating traditional animation and talks about the transition from 2D to CG animation and how it affected him and his fellow artists at the time.

Along with these colorful nostalgic stories, Robb shares insights into his present projects, including CARMAN and Disney Plus's Firebuds. Despite coming from a challenging background, Robb's numerous beloved accomplishments serve as a powerful testament to the fact that passion has the incredible power to unlock a world of endless possibilities. An unexpectedly fire duo joins us in this week’s episode! Voice actor, producer, and screenwriter Yuri Lowenthal best known as the voice of Sasuke in Naruto, teenage Ben Tennyson in Ben 10, and Peter Parker/Spider Man in various video games has an exciting new project. Yuri just worked together with LA hip hop artist Big Lugg to create an album that is, in its own way, a first of its kind: the hip-hop album FIRE STYLE! (featuring the cast of Naruto). Now, Yuri and Big Lugg are giving us the lowdown on how it happened!

Yuri shares how this unexpected collaboration started thanks when Big Lugg reached out to him with an uncanny request. He then goes on to tell us about how they started their collaboration which resulted in the creation of the 2-minute track Prayer which definitely thrilled Naruto fans! Big Lugg also joins us to share some insights and anecdotes about working with the Naruto cast while creating the album.

This week’s guest has made a name for himself creating incredible characters within the on-camera and voice over world. David H. Lawrence is best known for his portrayal of the villainous character, puppetmaster Eric Doyle on NBC’s sci-fi series, Heroes. Aside from this major role, David has also appeared in a number of other shows including CBS shows such as The Unit and CSI. Apart from on-camera and voice acting, David is also a network radio host, author, podcast host, and teacher to aspiring voice actors and audiobook narrators. He is also the creator of the rehearsal app, Rehearsal Pro, which helps actors rehearse and memorize scripts anytime, anywhere.

In this week’s episode, we start off by talking about how we met at Emerson College then David goes on to talk about why he gets so emotional when he sees where his fellow voice actors are at in their respective journeys. He even shares a couple Michael Koster mantras! Plus, David also shares his insight on the emotional toll of being in the industry and offers advice that may help voice actors from getting heartbroken over roles. We also get to talk about his iconic role on NBC’s Heroes as well as what led him to create the amazing things - app included- he’s put out into the world.

Voice actress, ADR director, and script writer at Funimation, New Generation, and Bang Zoom! Entertainment Caitlin Glass joins us this week in Alicyn’s Wonderland! Voice actor David Errigo Jr joins us in this week’s episode in Alicyn’s Wonderland! People have been abuzz over David for some time now, after he replaced Thomas Sangster in the role of Ferb in “The Phineas and Ferb Effect!” and in “Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe”. In this week’s episode, I am joined by The Voice of Awesomeness himself – voice actor and coach Mick Wingert! Mick has quite an impressive list of roles to his name. He is best known as the voice of Po in the video games and TV shorts of the well-loved Kung Fu Panda franchise including Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. In addition to this, Mick has also worked as the voice for Iron Man in several Marvel TV series and video games including the 2021 series ‘What If...?’, and the voice behind Heimerdinger and Duty Captain in the groundbreaking Netflix animation series Arcane.
