Elizabeth has completed an accelerated MBA at Babson (Saltire Fellow, Boston, US), holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Cambridge, and a BSc (Hons) in Genetics from the University of Aberdeen. She is committed to diversity and fostering young talent, with a focus on innovation, trust, and transparency. As an entrepreneur, Elizabeth has founded various successful enterprises, including her own life sciences consultancy business.

My current focus is on Copilot Enterprise – GitHub's most advanced AI offering to date – infusing GitHub Copilot throughout the software development lifecycle.


I'm an experienced leader and strategist with extensive product, data science, and engineering experience with a particular focus on open source. I've worked at organizations of very different sizes, scales, and sectors. Most recently I founded and led the Data Science Mission Office at STScI (stsci.edu) in Baltimore, the home of the James Webb and Hubble Space Telescopes and other flagship NASA science missions.
