This episode acts as an announcement covering the reasons for recent hiatus and rationale for the new format.
This new podcast series will consist a monthly 5-10 minute update of the last month of Adapt developments. Focusing primarily on new features of the Framework and Authoring Tool, as well as any cool new Framework plugins and Authoring Tool modules.

In this episode of The Adapt Tips Podcast, Chuck and Simon talk to Tom McDowall. Tom is the owner of Evolve Learning Design, a member of the eLearning Network's board of directors and host of the IDTX conference and the iDeas podcast. In October 2020, Tom created a video guide covering how to install the Adapt Authoring Tool on a computer. It was a very popular video with over 4,500 views and 95 likes.
We discuss whether Adapt is a high-end authoring tool or a budget tool. Adapt is the most configurable authoring tool allowing developers to tinker and configure to their heart's content. At the same time, Adapt is totally free to use and download and thus, often gets on the radar of individuals who are looking to break into e-learning and create their first portfolio piece. We consider the duality of its position in the market and how e-learning teams should think about Adapt.
Tom shares his thought process for which sort of projects might, and might not, be best suited for Adapt. We compare Adapt to some other popular authoring tools, even finding some funny car analogies.

In this episode of The Adapt Tips Podcast, Chuck and Simon talk to Sam Howell who is the go-to Adapt expert for the production team at Learning Nexus, a UK-based e-learning agency.
Throughout this episode, we discuss the responsibilities of an Adapt expert within a team. This Adapt expert may perform tasks which are completely removed from project-based content development, such as upskilling staff, enabling more efficient collaboration, discovering new plugins and creating new themes for clients. We discuss the benefits that this role can bring to the team as a whole.
Sam also shares information about his own free learning initiative which combines his interest of free open-source software and open education.

In this episode of The Adapt Tips Podcast, Chuck and Simon talk to Caleb Foster from Mindboost Learning about how they use and manage multiple Adapt Authoring Tools in their production lifecycle.
We discuss the benefits of having multiple authoring tools for different stages of production, from a development environment where new plugins can be created and tested, to a production environment where courses are created to a post-release environment for the updating and maintenance of courses. Each step has different levels of precaution to allow for experiments to happen without the risk of it affecting the production server.
