undefined - The Better Together Campaign

The Better Together Campaign

Mental health is a basic human right. It should not be reserved for the privileged — for the elite.

At Sunshine City Counseling, we believe that every human should have access to excellent care for their body, spirit and mind. We understand that, for many of us, we are privileged to not even have to think twice about this. For other brothers and sisters, it is not something that has ever been afforded to them.

We want that to change.

It is our desire to be a part of the solution. We’re excited to bring a rad shirt that you’ll be proud to wear knowing that it is providing hope and healing for those of us who may not be able to afford amazing mental health care otherwise.

SO. Buy a sweet tshirt and 100% of the profits will be donated to a fund that will provide reduced rate counseling services for all LGBTQ+ individuals.

It's our way to serve the broader community and celebrate their diversity this PRIDE month!

You'll hear a pretty candid conversation between Olivia and Christina, two of our therapists, discussing the heart and intention behind the Better Together Campaign and how it is growing beyond the LGBTQ+ community...

Don't Be Afraid Of Your Pain: The Journey of Coming Home

Hey! Hi! How are you!?

Today is a real treat.

Olivia brings on one of her favorite people, Rachel Miller.

Sit down or go for a walk, grab your tissues, and get ready to be changed. 🤘🏽

Olivia & Rachel walk through what it looks like to not be scared of your pain and the freedom that comes on the other side of it. Rachel is refreshingly honest in this episode about her journey over the last 5 plus years of what it’s looked like to walk through heartache, death, & daily panic attacks. A stripping away of everything that essentially has taught her to slow down and let herself be at home again in her mind & body. We talk about “sacred ground” and what it looks like to be open about all your feelings and still be really loved by your people.

Vulnerability, courage, coming home, & choosing to become something different altogether is so beautifully described in this episode.

So take a listen- we promise - you won’t be disappointed ❤️
