A Quiet Night Inside No 9

Tom is a teacher. He wants to be a writer. He lives with his girlfriend, Gerri who has just got a new job playing a WW2 character called D Day Dorris. While she is out, a homeless man called Migg find's Tom's wallet and returns it. Wanting to repay his honesty, Tom, gives him some money. Wanting to repay his generosity, Migg, buys Tom a bottle of whisky. Tom invites him in for a quick drink, he then ends up moving in, as Tom embarks on a downward spiral into the life of an alcoholic author...much like his hero, Charles Bukowski.

Chrissie meets Adam at a New Year's Eve Party, and chooses to bring him back to her flat (not John Lennon/Harry Potter). From that night onwards, her life appears to fall apart.

The most powerfully emotive episode of Inside No. 9 so far. We are very aware of the place this has in many listener's hearts. Ours too. We hope we've done it justice on our first trip through the onion...we experienced the full force of the onion this week.

Tamsin is a sick little girl. WishmakerUK agree to send legendary celebrity singer, Frankie Parsons to help celebrate her birthday. Tamsin's parents, Graham and Jan can't find their pumper, so the balloons have to be blown up manually, the old fashioned way. Frankie helps out. Then passes out.

This is our first peak into the worlds that Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith have created for Inside No. 9. It's bizarre, it's weird, but it also seems to make a lot of sense.

We take a fresh look at Sardines; the ultimate 'bottle show', set in a wardrobe, inside a room, in a big country house. At an engagement party there is a game of Sardines being played, and as guests cram into the closet, past traumas have been reignited.
