I was renting a room, but the whole city supported me & my business...with Marchet Sparks
A Black Woman's Podcast with Nikki Porcher03/17/20 • 30 min
Today on A Black Woman’s Podcast we have Marchet Sparks owner of the famous restaurant, Le Petit Marche.
Born & raised in Los Angeles, Marchet hit the Atlanta scene in 2006 to continue her real estate career. When the mortgage industry began to show cracks, she shifted her focus to opening a neighborhood market and in early 2008, Le Petit Marche was born. After a painful and tumultuous start, the market transitioned into a café/restaurant and is now one of Atlanta’s most beloved family-run eateries.
Listen in as Marchet shares with us how she operated a business while battling her drinking addiction, how she stayed hopeful when her bank account didn’t and why listening to what your customers is so important when looking to creating a successful business.
