We review the media cycle from the previous 2 weeks, pre-Memorial Day weekend, and discuss the second season of the hit FX series Atlanta, the Black content creator era which we currently live in, Jordan’s recent trip to New Orleans, and his subsequent binge-watch of HBO’s The Pacific.

After the break we speak with comedian Tim Barnes who embellished us to watch the feminist version of the “This Is America” music video. He also touches upon the Black content creator movement and the somewhat unfair criticism that some folks have had of Childish Gambino’s “wokeness” (insert vomit emoji).

Hey Shifters -- we're back! Our apologies for the schedule lately, but we've got another great episode in which we share our thoughts on the Kanye West breakdown from the previous weeks. Joe thinks Kanye's always been this way and that he's entered a Britney Spears-level meltdown; Jordan thinks it may actually be worse. Somewhere down the line we manage to connect it to the issue of racism in China.

After the break, we catch up with AJ, one of Jordan's grad school colleagues from China, who opens up about the country's history with race, why discrimination is not at the top of the government's priority list and why the recent examples, like the racist detergent ad, the attitude towards Black Panther and the appalling Lunar New Year performance, may actually help bring this much needed conversation to the forefront.

What do you know, we're back to a Saturday release. Since we're recapping the last few weeks there are some things we may have missed. At the time of the recording, we had only seen game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals, and at time of this episode release, the Warriors have won the championship.

We also dive a little bit into the recent Pusha T and Drake beef which had the internet talking for several days straight and, after the break, we discuss yet another hotly debated summertime beef: Thanos and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
