Just as it was in Marshall’s time, the particular historical moment we find ourselves in demands us to constructively engage with the world around us. Nothing is going to change unless we change it. Nothing is going to get better until we get better.
Love is the only thing that can save this world. Love is the only thing that can change the course of history. Loving our neighbors as ourselves begins with us giving a darn about their welfare and wellbeing. There is simply no room for apathy or indifference.
There are folk who stoke our fears, suspicions, and mistrust of each other. Hatred and fear are their tools of control. We must always dissent from these.
